The Media is not accustomed to dealing with an Intelligent Administration,
Only a crooked, secretive, cut throat, unprincipled, manipulative one.

I don't know if the media is going to know how to handle reporting on an intelligent Administration.

The media has a lot to get used to. It has been 8 long years, but sanity has returned to our nation.

I don't think the Media is going to know how to handle this!

1. I've been listening to Tweety: he sounds downright excited at the
moment. We shall see how long that lasts.

8. I am glad to see Tweety in a better mood
it is almost like KO has given him the strength to call them on their BS.

Hey if Tweets runs for office will it be as a Dem or Puke? Would be really nice if he had Obama's help. ...

18. Tweety has been putting feelers out into a Senate Race in PA
if Spectre retires which is highly likely. He'd probably be running against a Republican named Charlie Dent who happens to be my congressman.

4. The media now need to fire their Bushbot media whores and get some
intelligent news people instead to deal with an intelligent administration.

It's called repeating.

7. I can only imagine the pressure the Bush WH put on the press
They are probably grateful to be rid of this.

They can actually tell the truth without their corporate overlords getting a phone call from Karl Rove

12. I have hope that the intelligence will trickle down through the media.
The rising tide lifts all boats, and all that RW horseshit.

I would love to see smart people on news programs, instead of the current hairstyle junkies. I would love to see real news programs, for that matter, instead of political crap and opinions from people I hate.

Maybe it could happen - someday....

16. To Candy Crowley, Obama said, "I'm going to skip that one."
I loved that moment... it was a politically motivated attack question

He blew her off... this is serious business now... the campaign is over

silly season has CEASED

"I'm going to skip that one."

23. it was an elaborate gotcha question
paraphrase

"Now that you've received a full intelligence briefing, have you learned anything that would give you pause regarding your own rhetoric over the course of this campaign?"

meaning, now that you know what the big boys know, don't you feel silly about your position regarding foreign policy and iraq?

he just totally blew her off

that conference is available in full on youtube... probably on THIS site... I dont' know about CNN, if they archived it

dollars to donuts cpsanjunkie on youtube has it up

25. I loved that moment too
Edited on Sat Nov-08-08 07:06 PM by lunatica
First he told her he wouldn't talk about what he finds out in these briefings, then he reminded her that she had asked a follow-up question and when she repeated it he said, "I'm not going to answer that" in a tone that showed he was done with her questions, even as he turned away and pointed to another reporter.

It showed a little glimpse of his refusal to play her, or anyone's, Idiocracy mentality games. I bet that's how he kept his campaign in line.

17. The MSM will have to cut back its hours then! Nothing juicy, or stupid, or irrelevant to report 24
hours a day!

They will have to get a day job!

We will go back to the "Goodnight Chet", "Goodnight David" format !!

20. Perhaps legitimate investigative journalists like Sy Hersh will.....
now come to the fore once again.

I'd love to have the complicitness of the corporate media in the crimes of the last decade exposed. Let people feel like idiots by how they were manipulated -- perhaps they will be so enraged they won't allow it ever again.

Not in this day and age of the Internet, where being willfully ignorant is just that -- a willful choice.

24. Has anyone else noticed the quality of the vocabulary used by Rachel and Keith
has suddenly risen? It's almost as if they know the IQ of their audience went up a whole lot and that people actually understand and use the BIG words.
