Wyoming BLM refuses to follow state statute for time off for voting!
I am livid. Today we got an email from Human Resources stating that they consider 1 and a half hours before or after work was sufficient time to vote. That employees had the chance to vote absentee, and that only about ten people would get the hour off to vote. I took the day off, so it is not about me, but.......Wyoming statute states that all employers must be given one hour off to vote (time deterimined by supervisor) if the polls are not open for three consecutive hours before or after work.

I emailed HR and gave them the statute. The reply came back that "three hours is excessive for Wyoming. IF you need three hours, take it up with your supervisor".

Can you believe a Federal Agency would actually pull this crap?
