Talked today to black man, reg'd Dem in heavy Dem district: undecided b/c:
He says nobody is talking about jobs and poverty.

Now, I'm sure he'll vote Dem in the end, and we had a nice little chat. But I thought it was interesting that his perception was that nobody was talking about the stuff that mattered to him (he didn't say it, but I'm sure he's pissed that Bush has kept the focus on anything except what's really going wrong in America).

He and I had a chat about John Edwards ('cause that's where my expertise lies). I think that I put a few pieces of the puzzle together for him, but I hope that the campaign picks up some of the slack so that I don't have to keep having this conversation with the base.

He was the ONLY person I've talked to recently who wasn't totally enthusiastiac and willing to help out, but in a year when every vote will count, Dems can't afford to let this guy's vote slip through their fingers.

1. Both candidates have been talking about jobs.
Bush thinks Kerry will tax them away.

Kerry points out that Bush has lost 2 million already.

2. Kerry has a plan to get jobs, Bushes plan is to lose them.

3. Proof that the press is truly AWOL in this once-proud democracy
The candidates are talking about the issues. Even the mealy-mouthed shrub is talking about jobs and the economy. He's lying, but he's talking.

Where is the coverage!?!?

The press is doing what it can to help promote fascism.
