13. Canada is indeed fairly nice, I'd say.

Their Conservative government is a little disheartening, but they have decent health care and same-sex marriage, both of which would benefit me. I could learn to live with the cold, but I guess I'm somewhat used to it, being an Oregonian. We had a light sprinkling of snow on election day. Quite a bit more today. Yay!

14. There's this guy in my college history class.

A week or two ago, the class noticed that someone was wearing a pro-Obama shirt, which sparked discussion. Despite the fact I attend a community college in a very conservative town, most of the class seems pro-Obama, except for this guy that sits in back. He blurted out, in his Southern accent and sort of an and-I'm-proud-of-it! tone of voice, "I'm votin' fer the white guy!"

We had history this morning, and that guy didn't show up to class. Half the class was bummed, because we were hoping he'd come in and start complaining, giving us a chance to pwn him. I wanted to dish out those oh-so-juicy lines! Oh well, maybe he'll complain on Monday.

Incidentally, thinking back to two weeks ago, I wish I had said, "Who, Obama?", since Obama is white too. Or even better, "Just vote for the white half", à la David Alan Grier.

He's pretty solidly a left-wing liberal, for the record, but he said he wants a balanced outlook. I told him a few hours ago, "But why aren't you getting input from a respectable right-wing source?"
