Lieberman prediction take two: I predict Lieberman will keep his chairmanship
because Dems in leadership position can't seem to learn their lessons. I hope my prediction is wrong.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/11/05/reid-lieberman-to-meet-this-week/

(CNN) — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will likely meet later this week with Joe Lieberman to discuss whether the Democrat-turned-Independent will be stripped of his Senate committee chairmanship, a senior Democratic leadership aide tells CNN.

Lieberman currently chairs the Senate's Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

This aide says that Reid, who is calling the meeting, has not yet decided what to do. The aide admits that the decision will be determined in part by the final election results tonight — and just how close the party is to a filibuster-proof 60-seat majority — but insists that the biggest factor involved is lingering anger among Senate Democrats over Lieberman's Republican convention speech.

This aide also said that Senate Democrats aren't that upset about Lieberman's constant presence and cheerleading on the campaign trail with John McCain — instead, they've been put off by the things he said about Barack Obama at the Republican convention in St. Paul.

2. Reid has got to go...can we please get an acutal majority LEADER in there?
This leak should have been "Senate Majority Leader ______ ordered Lieberman to a meeting in which he will be stripped of his chairs and horsewhipped in the Capitol Rotunda. Coffee reception to follow."

3. I'd be more than happy to prepare the fatted calf
If Lieberman returned like a prodigal son.

(Perhaps not the best analogy, all things considered)

4. I hope Harry Reid does not keep his leadership position
Obama needs to encourage promoting Democrats with spines of steel like he possesses. We don't need weak mamby pamby Democrats like Reid and Pelosi, that's for sure.

LIEberman needs to be kicked off his chairmanship. He actively campaigned for the opposing party's candidate. He needs to go. Connecticut I hope you guys get rid of this guy in 2010. PLEASE, can you do that?

5. "You have to answer for your disloyalty, Lieberman
Michael: "You have to answer for your disloyalty, Lieberman...You fingered Daschell for the Republic people. Ahh, that little farce you played with my party. You think that could fool an Obama?"

Michael: Come on. Don't be afraid, Lieberman. Get him a drink. Come on, you think I'd make your wife a widow? I'm Godfather to your son, Lieberman...You're out of the Party business, that's your punishment. You're finished. I'm putting you on a plane to Connecticut...I want you to stay there, understand? Only don't tell me you're innocent. Because it insults my intelligence and makes me very angry. Now, who approached you? McCain or Bush?

Carlo: It was McCain.

Michael: Good.
