Poll question: Can the Nation wait until January 20th for Obama to take office?
I saw an article on NPR about this. It told the history that Inauguration day used to be in March but FDR moved it up to January because of the Depression. I think a good case could be made for it to be moved up again.

If you read Shrub's remarks or listened to his speech this morning, he's anxious to get back to Texas and I don't think there'd be much of a fight to move it up.

What say ye?

3. The "Poll Question" does not match the answers...
Question:
Can the Nation wait until January 20th for Obama to take office?
Yes - move it up, or
No - leave it where it is

I think it should be:
Yes - leave it where it is, or
No - move it up.

I vote leave it where it is.

4. Inauguration Day is set on January 20th
by the Twentieth Amendment. It would take another Constitutional amendment to change it. Actually, it would take two, as moving it up would shorten Bush's Constitutionally mandated four year term. That's not going to happen between now and January 20th.
