4. Governor Appoints in Each

In IL, I think that Rep. Jan Schakowsky might be the choice - - Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. may be a bit too controversial.

In DE, Beau Biden should be the choice - - he's already the state's AG, so it's not like we would just be appointing someone's idiot son. (Been down that road, and all that.)

6. Jesse Jackson the Third?
Are you mixing up the Luther Kings and Jacksons? How exactly is Jesse Jackson Jr controversial? Besides being the son of Jesse Jackson and being a black man.

7. Yes, Jr.

My mistake.

If you don't know that Rep. Jackson is a bit controversial in some quarters (which has nothing to do with his being a black man - - are you fucking kidding me, by the way? - - or whose son he is), then you don't know Chicago politics.

Personally, I am fine with either Jackson or Schakowsky - - or Tammy Duckworth.

8. I live in Chicago
I love Tammy Duckworth, she'd be the only one I'd be okay with as Senator beside Jesse Jr. I'd like some info on Rep. Jackson as to why he's controversial, because I don't believe you. Make with some info, with links if you can. Burden of proof is on you.

9. That's Nice

Do you read the news? Ever heard of battles between him and the Daley Machine? Those elements are in Blago's ear not to name Jackson to the Senate, and in Obama's not to suggest it. Google it and you'll have your links.

5. I like Jesse Jackson Jr.
We really do need to keep a black man in the senate. It's pathetic that there was only 1 to begin this night, but 4 sure we need to replace Barack with another person of color. He's very capable and qualified to fill Barack's shoes. I hope he gets the job.

13. Wouldn't it be cool
if Biden could serve both as Sen. and VP. Then he would have 2 votes in the case of a tie. Haha, I can dream, can't I?
