2. And, worth noting, so did Lincoln.
Teddy ran for his third term on the Bull Moose ticket. Lincoln ran for his second on the National Unity ticket.

Funny how the great Republicans of yesteryear all ditch the party, no?

what his party would one day become.

The Republican Party today is almost unrecognizable from what it was just 40 years past. As the leading edge of the Party, the McCain campaign is most responsible for its impending collapse.

It would be both ironic and funny should mass departures from the GOP result in a new third party.
