Twas the night before elections and all through the land...
Candidates were scurrying to make that last stand...
The ballots were ready, the machines they were cocked...
To determine tomorrow the haves and have nots...

When out of the Midwest there rose such a clatter...
Twas Obama exclaiming your dirt will not matter...
I bring hope, vim and vigor with me you shall see...
That your attacks and your slander can not deter me...

But down from the North an ill wind did blow...
A woman whose husband drove machines through the snow...
Cable pundits did clamored whats this, something new...
Is this baked Alaskan Barbie Caribou...

The answers came quickly and sprung from her mouth...
You betcha I'm ready to hold down the south...
But Obama was wise and he stuck to his plan...
Rallied all troops, loudly proclaiming yes we can...

Alas and alack for McCain it twas late...
Palin was drawing a much better gate...
And as the election drew nearer and nearer...
Sister Palin grew weirder weirder and could not deliver...

All that is left is to pick up the peices...
Keep that hope growing until election day ceases...
Then America, the world together will celebrate...
The future is coming, and we just can't wait...
