Early voting map on CNN
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/27/early.voting.map/index.html

The early numbers sure look good as more Democrats are voting in MANY states: Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, West Virginia, Colorado....:woohoo:

8. Just a note on Florida (and maybe NC)
I know in Florida there are a lot of counties in the North and North Central part of the state where the majority of white residents are registered as Democrats but vote Republican. This is a hold over from the old Dixiecrats when Florida was part of the Solid South. Now they don't make up a lot of the voters since we're talking about counties like Dixie, Union, Liberty, etc where the entire population is around 10,000 or less but every election someone claims votes were switched in these counties by pointing out that Dixie for example is 70% or so registered Democrat but votes 70% Republican. I assume there are areas of North Carolina where people still are registered Dems but don't vote that way.

Sorry to be a downer (I'm not trying to be one) but this is what my dissertation (and hopefully book)covered.
