I still think it's going to be a landslide for Obama
All day long, all we're going to here from the cable news stations, is how much the race is still tightening, how things are looking up for McFailin' and how Obama is sinking.

I think it's bullshit.

Obama leads by 7 nationally. He leads by 8 in PA and 5+ in VA. But more importantly: Obama's got game. Ground game that is. It's widely accepted that Obama has the better ground game. He has more boots on the ground. He has voters who are for him, and excited to vote for him. McCain has voters who are against Obama and excited by Palin.

McCain needs to sweep all the red states that are toss ups or leaning Obama. Obama only needs a couple of them.

Obama is in a commanding position. The cable news stations want a close election. It won't be close.

Hell, I'll even go out on a limb and predict a Montana pick up for Obama as my surprise state win.

1. I think he wins nationally by 8 points, 53-45, and takes 364 EVs.

2. Indiana is my surprise pick.
I'm not sure if it will be a landslide, but a win is a win!

4. Hope you are right. Indiana is early close -- 6:30pm I believe.
That will be our first indication whether this will be a close win or a landslide win.

15. Indiana is all on the same time zone now, right?
the state used to be split, or split part of the year-I don't remember which, but it was so damn confusing when my sister lived there in the 90s.

5. I agree. I'm glad to be working today so I don't have to watch the damn TV.
I hate watching the pundits trying to twist the realities of this election into a picture where McLame could pull it off.

Even though I know it's complete bullshit, I worry they are trying to set up a theft. I have a hard time after the scars of 2000 and
2004.

I sent my kids that hilarious video about Obama losing by one vote with THEIR names in it. I hope they find it funny AND motivating. :)

11. The earliest poll closings are in parts of KY and IN but that really
won't tell us much. What will is PA and VA. VA polls close at 7. I believe the same is true for PA. The CV is that McCain can't win without PA. I think we'll probably know fairly early- not much later than 9 p.m.

10. I haven't seen/heard any evidence to the contrary
The polls tightened minutely but some of that tightening was in Obama's favor.

I don't think it's a matter of "still think" ... it's the only thing I can think.

14. I'm hearing how Obama is up in all the polls.
And I'm not hearing anything about 'tightening'.
