Flyer under wiper after church services,,,,
this morning. I had read another posting on this from another election and thought I'd post that it was still going on in 2008. THis was for voters to vote pro-life, and the candidates who were pro-life were listed prominately on the flyer. Those who were not pro-life were listed on the reverse side.
I cannot understand how ANYONE could give their vote to SOMEONE on a single issue! It is totally insane.

1. There are a few people out there who hold beliefs you'd think
would make them liberal Democrats. But because the Democratic Party hasn't completely outlawed abortion they vote straight ticket gop.

2. out of 130 students
...in all my classes, the ONLY two for McCain were single-issue voters and it was abortion that made them go for McCain.

Even one of their colleagues who is no political sophisticate pointed out how stupid it was. He said even if McCain gets to be president, the abortion policy is unlikely to change.

3. Maybe it would change if
there were a republican president, a republican majority in congress and a supreme court made up of a majority of republican nominees. Under that "perfect storm" they'd certainly work hard to reward their obedient single-issue voters.

:sarcasm:

4. It's because of a mental midget mentality!
It is insane to people who can reason!
