The first good news for McCain today? Or noise? In any event, Obama is still over 50%, which is the key point at this stage of the race.

6. You're one of the most nervous, pessimistic people I've encountered on this board...
...chill out, OK--Obama's got this!

5. Since McCain gained....do you think Obama will gain after the weekend?
When is he supposed to get his bounce from Wednesday's program?

14. Gosh we are eating up these
polls aren't we. This is one poll. Let's analyze trends and not just one poll. There are polls that show either an Obama gain or a McCain decline. Stop hyperventilating and let's focus on GOTV.

18. Ok, now you're really going into "concernland"...
Chillax. It's a one-point gain for McCrypt, which could simply be the result of rounding.

Per Rasmussen:
"Over the past five days, Obama's lead has been between three and five percentage points each day. That's a bit tighter than the four to eight point margins enjoyed by the Democrat for the previous month (see trends).

The tightening comes entirely from McCain solidifying his support. The Arizona Senator has reached the 47% mark on two of the past three days. Prior to that, he had not reached the 47% level of support in over a month. Another way of looking at it is that McCain's support has now stayed at 46% or above for five straight days. Prior to that, McCain had only reached the 46% level four times in a month.
However, while McCain has been solidifying support, Obama has not lost ground. This is the 36th straight day that Obama’s support has been between 50% and 52%."

Obama's support is not weakening. Its staying strong. McLame is simply solidifying his support with the lean Rethug category. So relax already. I don't have anything against your concern but you need to look at why polls move and change. The point is Obama's support has stayed level for 36 DAYS! Thats great news. It will fluctuate until Tuesday but Obama needs to keep at 50 or above and he is.

Another bit of good news per Rasmussen:

"It is impossible to overstate the importance of Obama's tax cut promise to his current lead in the polls. Thirty-one percent (31%) of voters now believe that their taxes will go down if Obama is elected. Only 11% believe that will happen if McCain wins (see crosstabs). Obama has made remarkable progress on this issue in recent months. In August, only 9% believed Obama would cut their taxes."

People are not really buying the redistribution crap McLiar tried to throw at Obama. That is incredibly good news.

8. I expected that. Yesterday, a great McCain day dropped off. That's why Obama gained two points.
But Rasmussen said two of the three days before showed a closer race, so the great Obama day dropped off this time...

If yesterday's and today's sample aren't really bad, Obama will gain again tomorrow.

Rasmussen wrote two days ago: "2 of the last 3 days showed a closer race than before."

Then, Obama gained 2 points yesterday

=> one of the 2 bad days dropped off

Today, McCain gained a point

=> the good Obama day dropped off

===> one bad Obama day left, will drop off tomorrow
