this worthless asshole just exactly HOW he's been tested when he references Biden's remark about Obama being tested. When exactly was in an executive position and had to face an international crisis.

2. New Obama ad puts it in context.
It's playing in the battleground states. Sadly, we have to buy the truth in 30-second spots.

3. They aren't reporters anymore, just talking heads with scripts sent down from...
...their corporate daddies.

5. they're called "opinion journalists"....
the news has basically become the political talk show, sans Oprah. We're led to believe (or that's the attempt anyway) that these shows are more "serious" because everyone seems serious, discussing politics (tangentially), and there are people in formal attire (suits and ties, pant suits and pearls or the equivalent). But they're basically talk/gossip shows, they're just gossiping about politics.

I guess it's what sells. I like the ones who are good at it - (KO and RM enter my mind immediately) but they're opinion journalists, too. They just know how to write - and speak - and think. (The thinking part is what makes them interesting, in my view).

News? We get about 10 minutes of real news a day... if that. The rest is analysis, rehashing, propaganda, bias, personality and spin.

Funny, my tolerance for news shows/networks gets smaller and smaller... right now I'm nearly down to one channel (I can't get C-SPAN for some reason on this set anyway) and they're only tolerable in the afternoon/evening... it's worrisome! Where are Murrow and Cronkite when you need them? Pshaw.... : )

6. Let's see what President Obama does - I'll bet he has some sort of WH news channel online.

7. Because they want McNasty to love them. Seriously.
There was a piece written about how journalists have this weird-creepy infatuation with McCain and politicians and want to be in their "good graces." They feel like jilted lovers now that McCain is no longer showering them with love and attention.

Disgusting, really. That's why the hard hitting questions this election have come from people like David Letterman, the View hosts, Jon Stewart, etc., people who aren't part of the so called serious national press.

8. I don't get the outrage over Biden's comment that Obama would be tested quickly after taking office.
The first WTC attack occurred about one month after Clinton was sworn in. 9/11 occurred about 8 months after Bush was sworn in.

It's not like there's no precedence. It happened to a Democratic and Republican president. It unfortunately may be a sign of the times we live in.
