"Missour-AH" Mud Pie


Ingredients:
1 Oreo pie crust (I could have made this, but I was lazy)

3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 3/4 cups packed brown sugar
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
5 1/2 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted
1 1/4 cups half & half
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Bottled hot fudge sauce
Whipped cream or whipped topping
Chocolate shavings

Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Place pie crust on a sheet pan.

In a large bowl, beat together butter and brown sugar, until creamy. Beat in eggs, until well combined. Beat in melted chocolate, half & half, and vanilla, until well combined.

Pour filling into pie crust and bake in oven for 45 minutes, or until set. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack. Drizzle about 1/4 cup hot fudge sauce over the top of the pie. Chill in the refrigerator for 4 hours, or until ready to serve.

Spread or pipe whipped cream over the top of the pie. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings, and slice and serve.
