PLEASE! I have to rant. It's not "Joe The Plumber"... it's "Sam The Scab"!!!

Enough of going into McCainspeak with this lout. His REAL first name is SAM. He doesn't have a driver's license. He doesn't have a plumber's license and has been doing plumbing (if that is indeed what he has been doing). He is a tax-cheating MOOCH who owes taxes. He LIED to Obama that he was going to make enough money to buy a company. On and on, this guy is a fucking LOSER.

I'm pissed.

And when people have walked up to me at my Obama table and ask about "Joe The Plumber", I immediately correct them... he is Sam The Scab. Get it? Sam The Scab!!!

It is quite possible that this non-plumber fellow goes by the name Joe, even if his first name is actually Samuel, so I have no problem with his being called Joe.

I do think, however, that the McCain camp's constant "Joe the Plumber" blather is turning people off--not their crazy base, of course, but everyone else. It's like their maverick and POW nonsense. They used those references so much they just broke them and they became a joke or a drinking game to everyone beyond their nutty base.

It's as though they suffer from perseveration--the (pathological) inability to stop constantly repeating a word, phrase, or action, even the the absence of the appropriate stimulus that propmted it in the first place. Perseveration is often a sign of brain damage. Whatever causes it, though, it annoys most people.
