Edited on Tue Oct-28-08 05:28 PM by depakid
but there wouldn't be long lines and malfunctioning or rigged touchscreen machines.

ps: I'm worried about the ballot measures. My guess is that a lot of the first time voters are going to get conned into royally screwing the state.

I voted mostly Democratic, save for two Republicans (one circuit judge and one state delegate) and one third-party candidate (Mountain Party - governor; the incumbent, Democrat Joe Manchin, is a douchebag, so I threw a protest vote to the one true liberal on the ticket).

69. Another Texan for Obama here
It was kinda sad to see so many local repubs running unopposed by a democrat here in Southeast Texas. (our county went for Gore in 2000)So instead of voting straight dem, I voted dem every spot I could, then Libertarian on the others.

Most Libertarians are nutty imo, but I gotta give them credit for building up a party from the ground up, putting in a candidate for almost every spot.

59. Voted for Obama/Biden in Kansas
And for Slattery and Moore for Senate and House. Posted my ballot Sunday. Johnson County may be pretty Republican, but I trust the Election Commissioner here. My 500,000+ suburb just west of KC, MO may be conservative, but people here are not stupid. Far-right Republican nutjob DA Phill Kline, selected by Republican committeepeople after the previous DA resigned to become Attorney General, was voted out in the Republican primary. And we have sent Democrat Dennis Moore to the US House four or five times.

75. My son and I both voted for Obama/Biden in IL today!!
we used electronic voting machines that had a spin will to scroll down the page and choose the candidates. then we had to press and enter button when the correct candidate was chosen. at the end we pressed a big red "cast ballot" button and all of the choices appeared on the screen to confirm. at the same time the confirmation page showed up, the choices were printed out on a paper-scroll on the left side of the machine so I could see there was a paper-trail. then we hit the "cast ballot" button again for the final act of voting and the paper-trail printed out the results.

yay!!
