Watching Palin/McCain rally from Hershey, Pa. on CNN live video.
I'll preface this post by saying I live in the mixed race city of Cleveland Hts., Oh . and I am caucasian. As the camera panned the audience I saw a sea of caucasians which looks quite foreign to me given where I live. Only person of color I saw was a man that looked like Secret Service.
Just what is the racial make-up of Hershey, Pa.?
Racial makeup of McCain and Obama supporters?

3. Gives me an idea
A whole bunch of DU's should get together at the rallies and attack in waves of protest 5 minutes after each group has protested. Every group seated in separate sections.

2. I recall Hershey PA being somewhat rural and conservative
I haven't been around there in years, but Hershey was kind of in the sticks.

10. Hello! It's the same speech from a month ago.....
.... all politicians use the same speech. That's not unusual. Obama basically just gave a shorter, less formal version of the speech he yesterday morning (and yesterday afternoon.) Same for Biden.

But she hasn't had any major NEW policy statements in her speeches from the jump. There's been more cute little stories, like this deal with Tito who she's been saying she met "yesterday" for days now.

It's ok though. They may hae Tito the Builder but I'm fairly certain we have Tito the Jackson and he outranks ALL Titos.

7. I am sorry, and I know it is not his fault but when he uses his arms to emphasize
something, it looks so weird... The only people who can vote for these two clowns are the people who are scared of change and perhaps brown people. And also the religious nuts... how many of those in America?

11. The people in the crowd are being fooled
McCain tells them under his tax plan that they'll be wealthy too? Don't they understand that under McCain's plan they'll be paying more in taxes because it'll be the wealthiest getting the tax cuts? And listen to McCain's words carefully.....he says "I don't believe in raising taxes.....I believe in cutting spending"......he doesn't say in that line anything about lowering those people's taxes.

15. Mixed area
Hershey itself is an expensive place to live. The immediate area houses many doctors from the large MS Hershey medical center. Most of the factory workers and hospital workers live in cheaper places, such as Lebanon County. Harrisburg is about 50% African-American and is about 10 to 15 minutes away. The Harrisburg suburbs are mostly white. Lebanon has a large minority community, including Latinos.
