*It's Official* Obama is Going to Win
After several long weeks of hearing my husband say that there is NO WAY that the red state of mind, ignorant fucking idiots will ever elect a black man as president - My husband said today:

Obama is going to win and all the fucking, racist, idiots out there can kiss my ass.

My poor husband is a life-long Democrat (like me) - He wants Obama to win more than anything. But, like a lot of us, he has been very reserved due to his understanding of the political landscape and just how ignorant and racist a lot of this country is. When he said that Obama is going to win this election, I felt so happy. Yippee!

We have a light at the end of the tunnel folks.

1. The statement that anyone who does not vote for BO is a racist is absurd.

9. The bolded quote and..........
"But, like a lot of us, he has been very reserved due to his understanding of the political landscape and just how ignorant and racist a lot of this country is.", certainly makes a statement and strong inference to me, but that is just my opinion.

12. You are not understanding my post at all
No one, on this thread, ever said that if you do not vote for Obama you are a racist. You put the line in quotes... read it again...

If you don't think a lot of the country is racist, well, you live in a different country than I do.

My husband and I... We are educated people and we do not believe that a vote for McCain means one is a racist.

I know just how racist this country is. And have good reason to believe that there are plenty of people who would not vote for any black man. I know some of these people.

I have seen people on the DU who claimed to be Democrats but... When Obama was the nominee, they said they would never vote for him. They outright said they would vote for McCain.

You can try to sugarcoat it but when the lights go out, the only reason that a Democrat would vote for McCain over Obama is due to his COLOR.

6. We

are so happy that so many young people are turning out to vote. That so many complacent non-voters have laced up their shoes and are going to the polls.

I have 5, yes 5, Obama signs in my windows. I am buying bumper stickers and giving them to people who ask me where I got mine. I am telling my neighbors and friends who are clueless, why I love our candidate.

I have never seen people electrified by a candidate like this before.

:)

(edit to correct typo.)
