Please help me, Obama Rally Tomorrow, for those who have been...
Hi DU, My son wants to go to an Obama rally tomorrow. Harrisonburg VA,515PM, doors open 315PM.

Problem is, unless I grab him from some important classes, I can't get him there until right about 315. I have heard about lines and such, and concerned we make the drive and not get in...should we skip school, arrive 315ish, or bail...

I know a lot of you have been to these rallies, but I have not, and your advice is appreciated.

1. Doors open at 3:15=people lining up at 8am. Seriously.
I'd think about skipping if you want to go

2. If there is anyway you can go down there early to get tickets, I would then pick him up
Depending on where it is going to be, if it is inside somewhere I would definitely get there early...

Yes, the lines will be long even on a work/school day.

Live in Pittsburgh, waiting for Obama......

take a peek.

5. I just went to the Leesburg rally last week
It took us almost an hour and a half to go what normally takes me about 15 minutes to go to the Leesburg rally last Wednesday. I took my son out of his last block class about a half hour early and he's in the 8th grade. If I had it to do again, I'd take him out earlier if at all possible. I know school is important, but this could be the closest y'all could get to see Obama before he is elected, and I considered it a life lesson, something he'd never get out of sitting in the classroom being taught SOL facts to memorize! Your son can make the work up!

:hi:
