9. No, they did not shorten his arms. They are permanently bent so he cannot straighten them out -

thus giving the illusion of being shorter than average. And, no - we should not overlook his bigotry, etc. but we should overlook ANYONE'S physical impairments. IMHO

12. It's not at all funny. Both of McCain's arms broke when he crashed and was captured by Viet Cong.

That is what makes his arms shorter, as well as the very limited range of motion McCain very evidently suffers from. Even with proper medical care, your arm can be shorter when you break it.
