Sarah Palin linked to Second "Witch Hunter"

If Mary Glazier's claim, that Palin joined her prayer-warfare group
almost two decades ago, is true it raises the possibiity that Sarah Palin personally participated in a 1995 campaign to drive an alleged "witch" out of Alaska.

At two key points bracketing most of 2008 GOP vice-presidential Candidate Sarah Palin's meteoric rise to political prominence, we find Palin tied to self-described witch-hunters. Not one, but two.

That alone is striking enough but Sarah Palin is also closely associated with an insurgent religious movement, within Christianity, whose members claim to cure crime and addiction by casting out demons, both from individuals and from whole geographic areas, and by hounding accused witches out of cities, towns, and U.S. states.

Both of Palin's witch-hunters are also directors, one in Alaska, the other in East Africa, of the Global Apostolic Prayer Network, originally founded as the "Spiritual Warfare Network", which in turn constitutes a key network in the religious movement, known as The New Apostolic Reformation.

One of Palin's two witch hunters has publicly stated, in a July 13, 2008 recorded address , that Sarah Palin is in the Alaska "spiritual warfare" prayer network and thus Palin appears to be tied into to a U.S. and international "spiritual warfare" network, The Global Apostolic Prayer Network, which claims that a planetary-level demon spirit blocks prayers of Catholics from reaching Heaven and whose top members boast of possibly having helped kill Mother Theresa through prayer-warfare.

1. Ya know...if I were a known "witch" she tried to drive out of town...
I could think of no better justice (AKA karma) than for the whole world to see her for what she really is. Welcome to the world imagine of Palin right now!

Never piss off a hazel/green eyed female mystic. Ever. You get instant karma around one. Your own negativity energy boomeranges right back home, just like it has with Palin now.

2. The above is the ANSWER
to the question when McCain supporters ask: "Why hasn't McCain raised the Wright issue"?

Uhh... please. Seriously.. do it. We beg you. Obama won't lift a finger.. the Media is just sitting on these Youtube clips of Palin... waiting to play them for someone.. anyone.

No one wants to see the Wright BS... that's so last spring. But, Palin getting prayed over by a couple of Witch Pastors is brand new... and would be rather starteling to a lot of American voters.

But, the MSM can't really do much with it until Obama starts to talk about it (and he won't... that's way beneath him and he wants to keep the focus on the issues). McCain won't bring it up either... because he knows what will happen if he does.

3. I wonder how Sarah Palins "best friend of 30 years"....
The self hating lesbian felt about Sarah being chummy-chummy with Focus on the Family's head bigot Dobson?

I would have made a Monty Python joke about "How do you know she is a witch?", but this story is to damn scary to make light of.

4. I know this crap makes people giggle but....
.. It's scary and disturbing to those of us who belong to Pagan belief systems. These people react from a place of fear built up by propaganda. We've seen this before, we know what the results are if it goes to far.

These people would burn myself and my children at the stake (literally) if they thought for a moment that they could legally get away with it and would go home to celebrate afterwards.

Hell no They'd bring hot dogs and marshmallows!

I'm right there with ya on the fear factor of this crap.

In addition, how is invoking an ethereal spirit (the Holy Ghost) to manipulate events in the real world not also witchcaft?

6. Taken. I have some witch friends,
who are among the nicest people I know. I would not want these people persecuted (or anyone else.) This is serious business.

7. the other problem with witch hunts is the accused tend not to be self-identified witches
Not that it really matters in terms of the innocence of the persecuted party, but actual Wiccans/pagans were never on the Salem hit list, just fellow "Christians" who ran afoul of the Puritans' repressed imagination. It almost ties in with the Abigail-Ashley story, you'd think bearing false witness was a virtue.
