The piece doesn't even say who Sarah Palin is - which I suppose means that most in the UK already know that she's the Republican VP candidate.

7. There's always massive coverage...

...of US elections here, ie all over Europe - I've been in five European countries in the last week (hence the bags under my eyes) and the coverage is non-stop, usually the lead story in the news. There's an absolute fascination for Obama, and total ridicule for Palin - in that sense, Europe and the US are as one!

He said what most of us forget, that the USofA was made out of an ideal, the only nation in the world to be born of an ideal.

We used to be a nation others emulated, not the nation mocked and scorned that we have become thanks to the republicans.
