2 more votes for Obama in AZ
My best friend told me last night that his father and probably his mother who live in Phoenix, are voting for Barack Obama. The thing is that Barack is the first democrat that they will have ever voted for for president. The main reason: Competence is more important then ideology at this point to them.

4. I hope so, and I hope the trend sticks for a few generations
Republicans have been offering up idiots with good fascist speechwriters since Regan. I see no reason that the trend won't continue.

5. The Repub trend will only be broken if two things are made to happen. 1) The
media has to be brought to heel under a new Fairness Doctrine, and 2) the education system has to be repaired so that it produces well-informed independent thinkers. (Well, in my opinion, at any rate.)

6. I agree, especially with #1. That's the most important issue that can't be talked about
until after the election... but damn it's impossible to have a Democracy without a free and fair media.
