1. Know where the voting place is
for all those that you call this close to the election. Look up the precinct and mapquest it so you can give directions. Let them know the hours of voting and if they can vote early in your state. You probably have a list with very few McCain supporters at this point, so its more get out the vote.

Also ask if there is anyone needing a ride to the polls.

Be up-to-date on Obama's platform.

4. Be courteous - despite any discourtesy thrown your way
and know where and when they can vote.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to have a phone number to the county clerk hotline for voters - just in case you're asked a question you can't answer.

In my own humble experience, you'll find it goes far easier than you've anticipated.

Jump in - the water's fine.

5. You might even enjoy this.
I think this is what gambling must be like. There is that shot of adrenaline for each phone call. Since the election is upon us, don't get addicted to calling!! Ha! I agree with Citizen Penn, be courteous NO MATTER WHAT. Also, in some of the info I have read, it says to find out the issues that are important to the person you are speaking to. And go from there. Do you have a template??? That definitely helps. Good luck. And don't get addicted to the thrill, or you will be saying, in front of a small gathering of other addicted DUers, "Hi, I am amyrose, and I am a caller..." :hi::blush::cry::hide:
