The MSM is a collective ASS! A short rant.
I know that this is a statement of the obvious that is being preached to the choir, but the reaction to Barack Obama going to spend time with his Grandmother is absolutely ASTOUNDING!

When the news broke last night, I saw nothing but discussion of how this would effect the campaign and, even worse, comparisons to McSame's cynical ploy of "suspending" his campaign to run to Washington DC to sit in a meeting in which he said next to nothing.

How out of touch is the MSM with the people whom they are supposedly keeping "informed"? Have none of them EVER faced the impending loss of a beloved parent or grandparent/ Do they have NO CLUE that in the "real America", when we are faced with the prospect of the life of a beloved is coming to it's end, THAT is what is important.

It amazes me that they look at a family tragedy that is about to confront the Obama family and see it in terms of "how will this play in the swing states" or "will the McSame campaign benefit from this"?.

Since they haven't taken their heads out of their collective ass for the last 20 years or so, what Barack Obama is doing to spend time with his grandmother, as well as what his wife, campaign staff and surrogates are doing, is what "family values" are. They are NOT the visceral hatred of gays and minorities, war-mongering, and the opposition to the entire Bill of Rights except the Second and Tenth Amendments that they've allowed the right to portray ever since Murphy Brown had a baby.

"Family Values" is caring for, loving and supporting YOUR family. It is knowing that those to whom you're close have your back when you need to be with your loved ones, especially when you may be seeing them for the last time. It is also being aware that other people who love their families (like the voters that the MSM is broadcasting to) understand what it's like to possibly lose a loved one. We understand that if Obama's "toot" pulls through this event, she is likely coming to the end of her life. We understand that "toot", Barack, Michelle, the girls and the rest of the family have an innate sadness that "toot' may not live to call her grandson "Mr. President" in this life.

THAT is the story of Barack Obama going to be with his Grandmother, not campaign strategy. MSM, If this is the best you can give us for campaign coverage, Please go back to brittney & paris 24/7.

PEACE

Shit like this just shows how out-of-touch they are. You don't fuck with sick grandmothers.

7. Yes, how dare they speak about such an issue,
How dare they wonder if this will affect the campaign. How DARE they!

If the MSM is so out of touch, why are you so fucking worried about what they do? Shouldn't it not have any affect? I also noticed in your post you're angry because they are simply discussing it. They aren't saying it's good or bad, just discussing it.

8. I'm not "worrying" about anything.
The cluelessness of the media bothers me. The assumption that the ONLY issue is the effect on the campaign, not the family issues.

9. They aren't as clueless as ya think.... they're just bored
All this 24-hour news shit forces them to talk about ANYTHING. It's fucking sad.

10. 24 hours of "news", PLUS...
...several channels to boot.

When I was a kid and news was a couple of hours a day, there were still the occasional stories about (for example) the "clown college" auditions
