Using Yahoo (sorry, I couldn't send a link to the graphic) I've taken off pretty much every state I think McSame has any realistic chance of grabbing:

Obama: DC, MD, DE, NJ, CT, RI, MA, ME, NH, VT, NY, PA, IL, MI, MN, WI, IA, CO, NM, CA, WA, OR, HI

I ran the numbers, andeven gave McSame VA (unlikely at this point, but for the sake of discussion), NC, FL, NV, OH, MO, and the usual remaining gang of red states.


and I come up with 273-O 265-M. Am I missing something here?

There are still scenarios, but they're longshots. McCain now HAS to win PA, plus other states.

2. Barring the unexpected, I just can't see how we lose

We're up fairly comfortably in all the Kerry states, Iowa and New Mexico, giving us 264. All we need is either Colorado or Virginia (where we have pretty solid leads right now), and we win.

Oh, and that doesn't include NC, NV and MO where we are currently leading.

I still think it's amazing that we don't even need Ohio and FL. I've pretty much accepted the fact that we probably won't win them anyway. I just think if it's close, they will get stolen.
