14. Good comments at Politico
"The coda of this election will be how McCain -- the maverick member of the Main Street Republican Partnership -- sold out his party to the populist, if not neo-facsist wing of the GOP. I cannot remember a candidate in recent history who ran to the right during a general election. McCain did. And it doing so, he pretty much threw the moderates under the bus to appeal to the anti-intellectual "nuts" many in the party have been worried about for year. See Colin Powell and David Brooks. Moreover, McCain has set up one of those nuts, Sarah Palin, to be the new, fresh face of the GOP, as opposed to someone like Mitt Romney or Susan Collins. McCain may have destroyed the GOP coalition by ignoring the very group to which he belongs."

17. Funny
I told my mom the same thing. She's an immigrant from Germany and lives, works, and socializes with the reddest of red in San Diego, though she's mostly a liberal (she is an immigrant, afterall). She called me a little worried about what people actually think about Obama and how McCain has been doing 'ok' in the polls since picking Palin. I explained to her, why would someone have to reach right after winning the nomination? Sure, nut jobs are going to be nut jobs but he's still sealing the deal. Not only that, he has to defend his opponent to his own base which clearly shows he's not one of them and they're not one of him. We enthusiastically choose Obama. They resorted to John McCain. Big difference.

She doesn't understand the internet nor how well the ground game has been run in this campaign. She noted she doesn't see much in the way of Obama propaghanda around town. I told her it's by design. She gets worried here and there but much like I tell people on teh interwebs, Obama's got this. Now it's just a question of how much we win by.

3. LMAO

Sometimes I think these signs are typed by clever little Liberals to make these people look stupid...how in the HELL can you make a sign and not make sure all spelling is accurate?

7. He don't care.
CEDAR RAPIDS - Nothing personal, but Donald Seedorf just doesn't like Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama.

"He's a terrorist," Seedorf said this past week. "He's hanging around with people who bombed and killed Americans." He believes Obama should be tried for treason for saying our soldiers are killing Afghan villagers.

"I've had my fill," said Seedorf of 2963 N. Center Point Rd. So he used an old board and a can of spray paint to express his feelings.

"Vote for a terriost Obama," the sign in his front yard proclaims.

"Yeah, I know it's misspelled," he said.

16. Voting in America: Thinking Optional
>"He's hanging around with people who bombed and killed Americans."

EVEN IF "sitting on the board of a local charity" constitutes "hanging around" or "palling around" with other members of that board (thereby making each board member responsible for all the past sins of any other board member), I STILL DON'T GET why so many people who believe that's the case are so negligent as to forget that boards are not made up of only two people! LOL Why don't these people stop and think: "How many folks are on my school board? How many folks are on my city council? How many folks sit on the county election board?"

This whole damn thing reeks of stupid. Obama's campaign shouldn't have to go out and point out to people: "You DO know that that board also had Republicans on it, including people who worked in Ronald Reagan's administration..." They shouldn't have to point out the absurdity of thinking that ONE member of a board is somehow guilty of the sins of another, but that any other board members are not. Of course, this is where Sean Hannity would pipe up with: "Yeah, but the others aren't running for President." Say what? LOL

Anyone ever ask Mr. Seedorf when/how/where Obama hangs around with terrorists? He doesn't know. He can't know, because Obama doesn't in fact do that. It scares me that Mr. Seedorf can't think, but that he can vote.

19. Well we can't go there. Stupidity tests for voters...
is against the law I'm sure. McCain wouldn't get 5% of the vote if they did.

9. What's a terriost?
And why does he want Obama to vote for one? Gawd I'd be so tempted to leave this as a note on the sign, but I'm sure he wouldn't get it.

12. The spelling is down phonetically on how they pronounce it

With 4 syllables I bet. I had to lose my southern accent in grade school
because it messed up my spelling.

13. Deney Terrio? The choreographer and supposed lover of Merv Griffin?

And- Why is Obama a Terrioist? Obama is busy enough with his own campaign, let alone promoting Deney Terrio.
