He is risking his life to help all of us. I think we all need to dwell upon this fact if we feel tempted to berate or criticize him. God be with him, and GO OBAMA !!!!!!!!

The contrast of what an Obama presidency would bring after 8 dark years of Bush. It'll be huge. Or hugh!!1, as the kids like to say.

5. I, for one, hope Obama does NOT get assassinated or wrongfully imprisoned for decades

But that's just me. YMMV.

I think we all need to dwell upon this fact if we feel tempted to berate or criticize him.

I have nothing but support for him for at the moment. I think it's fine for all of us to enjoy the "beer goggle" moment of having the clearly superior Presidential candidate. We've earned that.

But make no mistake, once he's in office the rules will change (and I don't just mean the operative DU moderation policy). No President is above criticism!

7. He'll have to work pretty hard to earn harshness from me
Compared to what we've been subjected to for nearly eight years, even a do-nothing President with no money to spend prosecuting endless wars would be a major blessing, something that would give our country's reputation a chance to start healing.

9. In traditional society,
when a young man or woman is attempting something very important, we (elders) say, "All of your ancestors, and your ancestors' ancestors going back to the ancient ones, lived their lives, to prepare you for your's." And so it is, with this wonderful young man, Barack Obama.

13. Naw, let's start planning to put his face on Mount Rushmore now!
That's one of the first things the Reaganistas did when their guy got in.
