BIDEN in Tacoma today

Officials for the Obama-Biden campaign estimated 12,000 people attended today's rally at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, making it one of the VP candidate's best-attended events to date. Taking aim at Vice President Dick Cheney, Biden joked that Cheney Stadium's name should be changed to Obama-Biden Stadium.

6. Wow! 12K! I caught it online, but live just 5 miles from Cheney Stadium where he was!

I get vertigo in large crowds, so I had to abstain from the event :( But I was sending good vibes from just across the bridge, as I sat in my yard and watched it on my laptop, live. Usually I can see the fireworks from Cheney Stadium after the Rainiers games. I'm just so thrilled that Biden came to Tacoma.. and supported our Governor who is in a nasty race with Dino Rossi, sleazeball deluxe. Also Biden does a fundraiser this weekend with Dave Matthews Band. Al Gore comes next week to support Gov. Gregoire, as well.

7. I've heard the race is really ugly. So glad Biden and Gore are pitching in --

a couple of heavy hitters. She was one of the first to support Obama, so I'm pleased to see he's reciprocating.

Even though you weren't there, it must have been exciting being so close! It looked like a beautiful day!

Rossi was the Republican candidate last go around, and lost by 400 or so votes. He's gotten really ugly and negative and slamming Western Washington. I'm afraid that his tactics just might work this time. :-(

What do you mean he's slamming Western Washington -- is most of his support from East of the mountains? I sure wish I was there and could vote on this.
