I will watch SNL, but if someone just doesn't want to see or hear her, I can understand that.
I would not watch American Carol because the idea behind it is offensive to me--I am not saying that I would ban it, but I certainly don't have to embrace it. And I remain progressive, forever.

that I choose not to see, generally based on what I've heard about them. If asked, I'll say why I don't want to watch them, but I do try to avoid any blanket condemnation because I haven't, after all, watched the show or movie in question.
