Republicans don't make up that much and we've seen that McCain can't carry independents...it just wasn't flowing for me. I do however understand that Obama was still the favorite.

Most pollsters weight the poll to Republicans because Republicans vote more regularly. But that creates a false sense of what people really think so it's good when the registered voter, or even all Americans, is used.
