"Orthadox" (sic) Jews for McCain: Hopelessly non-grass roots

One of the great things about the Obama campaign is that so much of it is grass roots - people organizing their own events and making their own signs, etc.

This is why I enjoyed an event that is now posted on the McCain website:

There is an "Orthadox" Jews for McCain rally in Brooklyn.

The rally obviously was not organized by anyone who is Orthodox, if they can't even spell it. I looked it up to see if this was an acceptable alternative spelling, but it is not.

1. Not surprising at all and expected by me

Orthodox Jews are totally against abortion and are, by definition, very conservative. But their numbers in NY (and NJ) will not make a difference.

2. Their most extreme sect, the Hasidim, are nutty...

They got a gym in Montreal to frost its windows because the clothing of the women in the gym offended them; the gym was built before the synagogue.

They also got the Quebec government to give them exclusively male driving test observers because they did not believe such work is appropriate for women. The fact that the union accepted this was an act of high treason toward the right of every single woman living in Quebec. Ironically, these morans normally vote Liberal instead of Tory.
