The contrast between these two campaigns is incredible. McCain is all over the place, chooses the worst running mate ever, has no cohesive message, suspends his campaign (not really), alienates Michigan supporters, alienates conservative pundits, attacks Obama wildly and without focus, has a seriously awful ground game, Carly Fiorino, "kill him", WaPo endorses Obama, has a campaign manager who calls his own supporters nuts, runs 100% negative ads even though polls tell them it is killing them...and a list of other things too long to think of now.

Obama is steady as a rock, has one of the most effective political ads I have ever seen out within hours of the end of the debate nailing and nullifying McCain's highlight moment "I am not George Bush", has a large and effective ground game, answers all attacks swiftly and with perfect focus, orchestrates a 50 state strategy, pays for 30 minute spots on several key networks a few days before the election, chooses an experienced, well liked and competent running mate, stays on point during all highs and lows...and again, a list of similar things longer than I can mention here.

I believe these campaigns reflect their candidates. If nothing else, the way Obama has run this campaign makes me want to vote for him. The people he has chosen to help him, the tone and the incredible organization he has put together is a testament to the kind of leader he is.

And McCain's campaign is testament to the kind of leader he is, too.
