Obama sign - with Arabic lettering?
I also posted this in the Virginia state thread. I saw a strange sign today on Route 29 South. On the side of the road was an election sign, which had "Obama" written on the top, but the bottom part of the sign had what looked like some kind of Arabic or other lettering.

I called the local Obama office to ask if it was an "official" sign (I might expect it in Northern Virgnia where there is much more diversity, but not around here) and was told that it was not. I gave the location to the nice woman I spoke with.

Anyone else see anything similar to this? Insidious, isn't it?

Maybe it was one of those - but who knows? At this point it wouldn't surprise me.

Was it this one?

3. No,
I know what Hebrew looks like, having lived in NY for a long time, and it was not Hebrew. Secondly, it didn't have the Obama emblem, or www.etc. Third, in the area I live in there really are incredibly few Jewish people, let alone people who would understand Arabic.

4. Perhaps it was a sign made by an Arab-American who supports Obama?
I don't quite understand what would be so "insidious" about that, though. Are there no Arab-Americans in Virginia?

6. Yes, there ARE Arab-Americans in Virginia.
Very few, I would guess, in the area of Virginia I'm talking about.

7. South between Lynchburg and Danville.
I had a more exact location when I spoke with the woman at the Lynchburg Obama headquarters. She stated that they had no such signs in the area that were from the campaign.
