It pisses me off no end hearing people alleging things as far fetched as Obama being an Al-Qaeda mole, when they know damn well they wouldn't be making these claims if he was white and had a name like John Smith. Aside from the fact that not all Muslims are terrorists, it's nothing more than thinly veiled racism that infuriates me. All this "terrorist," "Muslim," "Hussein" crap all boils down to "I can't stand the thought of a black man ruling this country." Anyone who claims Obama is a Muslim and denies this is, IMO, not only a racist and a bigot but a fucking coward.

2. yep
include John McInsane with his "robo calls" on this list. These people are too chickensh*t to admit to the fact that they are racists.

6. Of course that's what they are doing.
In their tiny minds, they believe that it's a new way to say a word they are no longer allowed to utter in public.

10. I'm sorry, but I have to disagree.
You're right of course, but I think in some ways it is worse. I have my own issues with Islam as a religion, but still respect Muslims as human beings.

Not only does the labeling of Obama as a Muslim exploit racism, it perpetuates fearmongering against an entire group of people based solely on their faith.

In other words, it boils down to even more than "I can't stand the thought of a black man governing this country," but also "I can't stand the thought of a non-Christian governing this country."

Quite frankly it is probably a hell of a lot easier for a black man, despite institutionalized racism in our country, to become president than it would be for a white man who proudly endorses his Muslim faith or for that matter, no faith at all. Disgraceful for a country that constitutionally forbids religious tests for public office.

Some day we'll have a woman president, an African American president (January 20, 2009), an atheist president and a Muslim president and these demographic facts will generate a collective "ho hum, so fucking what" when some ignorant bigot tries to use it against the candidate. I just hope I'm alive to see it.

11. code words......
obama is a "terrorist" ='s obama is a nigger.

obama is a "muslim" ='s obama is a nigger.

KILL HIM ='s KILL HIM, they really would prefer him dead right now.

"I don't like either of them!" ='s I am a fucked up repuke who knows very well that McSame is an asshole, but I am moreover a RACIST PIECE OF SHIT who could NEVER, EVER vote for: obama is a nigger.

"They are all crooked, there is no difference between the DEMs and Repubs" ='s I am a fucked up repuke that knows everything my party has done for the last 28 years is totally wrong, illegal and immoral, but I don't have an excuse...so I will just paint everyone with the same brush, and again: I am a RACIST PIECE OF SHIT who could NEVER, EVER vote for: obama is a nigger.

PLEASE, WHEN YOU HEAR THESE CODE WORDS YOUR HAIR SHOULD STAND ON END AND GO AFTER THE PERSON WHO IS ESPOUSING THEM!!!

sorry to say it but I am down to just "FUCK YOU"! to these knuckle-draggers.

sorry if I offended anyone with the N word, but I hope you understand that is exactly where they are coming from.

Family values = God hates fags
Pro-life = wants to control women

23. I have, repeatedly, so much so that I posted an...
open letter to the racists on my blog. Here's an excerpt (warning: I do use the "n" word in the full piece, and "towelhead," words these people desperately want to use in public):

Bottom line, that's what the Obama smear is about -- racism and bigotry -- and there are people from both parties (yep, there are racist Democrats, too, though I don't believe nearly as many) who won't vote for someone based on race or them having a scary name. If they'd just admit that, instead of spewing stupid lies, maybe we could get somewhere. No sense denying it's racism. Look again at the subject line of the one email going around: "...and the BOY wants to be President."

I wish people would just admit it. Why are people who have shouted about the "politically correct libruls" suddenly being all politically correct? Call a spade a spade, for crying out loud. Quit being such hypocrites and, dare I say it...what is it the right-wing republicans have always called democrats and liberals? Oh yeah, quit being such pussies! Say you can't stand him because he's black! You want to say it, so why don't you? I'd personally respect that a helluva lot more than trying to cloak it in baseless bullshit like this pledge/anthem non-issue.

14. Precisely. It lately seems to have been acceptable to bash this group.
And to slur Obama with the term, thanks to our misplaced fears in reaction to the events of 9-11.

Time to end it.

16. I wonder how decent Muslims feel about that.
I know the word Muslim is used as a slur because the idiots using the word have no idea what a Muslimis, just that's it's bad in their minds. It not only aligns Muslims with terrorsts, it is becoming the next N word.

I hope we don't fall into that trap. Muslims are not all bad. Terrorist, extremist Muslims are as bad as Christian extremists.

21. I understand your point, however,
I wish we could get beyond the idea that Muslim is a dirty word. :( It's like trying to insult someone by calling them gay - gay isn't a dirty word and neither is Muslim (although I do understand those that use it as such don't share my opinion on the matter.)

22. Not all white people are terrorist either.
Ain't it funny that before 9/11 the worst terrorists attack in this country was committed by a couple of red-necks?

Anyway, I dont think it has as much to do with racism or fear of a black man sitting in the Oval Office as it does with the plain and simple fact that they're gonna lose.
