My Big Adventure today. Waiting for the Kerry bus.
Edited on Sat Sep-04-04 06:36 PM by Ksec
I read the paper this morning, Kerry will be passing by the Westgate school around 1 PM on his way to the Stuebenville Ohio rally at 4.

So my wife and I go and stand in front of the school which is located on a busy state route. Were all excited that we get to see Kerry come by in his bus and we will wave and he will wave as he passes by. 1 oclock....... then 2 oclock. Maybe 200 people all waiting with signs and flags, 3 oclock ........4 oclock...... "hes on his way folks say his organizers, only a little while longer they say.... ...tick tick tick.... 4 then ..........5oclock..still waiting.

Finally a 530 the organizer yells out that hes sorry but the Bus went another way, they bypassed us . Were real sorry...groan....awww...

We all leave a little tired and disappointed. I drive a few miles to shop at the KMart. I see someone I know that says "guess what I just saw down by westgate school?" No No... No couldnt be.. Yep- it was the bus we waited on for four hours. "they had a whole line of police cars in front of the bus, it was really cool"

I am pissed.

After his organizers said they bypassed us and everyone left.

I believe that operatives spread rumors that Kerry's going to be somewhere, then you hate him for not showing up. I think that's what happened when he and Edwards were on the train, and a story went around that it was going to stop in a town at 2AM.
