McCain's like-ability is getting very low. Does he try and go even more negative and bring Wright into the fray or what?

1. You'd think the sane people in the campaign would pull him back to the economy
so, yeah. Expect Wright and ACORN nonstop.

6. At this point it will be nothing but misdirected flailing.
McLame is toast, anymore negativity is going to do nothing but make look like a bigger kook.

11. I don't think there is anything he can do.
If the RNC has half a brain they would abandon the presidential race without looking too obvious, if that is possible at this time, and help their congressional campaigns.
The Democratic party needs to keep the pressure up and make sure people get out and vote.

8. They will continue to incite the audiences
They have nothing left! The economy is not going to get any better in the next 3 weeks and McCain doesn't have the ability to really talk about it.

9. He's damned if he does.. damned if he doesn't..
His base will be pissed if he doesn't go after Wright.

The Independants will be further turned off if he does (frankly - the know the story.. they saw the videos ad nasium all spring).

Either way - it's not gonna matter. If McCain wants to start repairing his reputation, he won't bring it up. I don't know if he cares at this point.

10. I think he might care. His image and story is all he has ever had. If he tarnishes it with this...
and loses--that is what he will be remembered for. Unlike what he would like to be remembered for: a faux-Maverick.

14. It's already been tarnished beyond repair with a lot of people..
but you're right.. he might care enough at this point. If he's being honest about how "upset" he was about his "good friend" telling him to knock off the race-baiting.. then he won't bring it up. If he really didn't give a shit, we'll see it.

He does have to wonder to some extent about the Witch-Pastor and Palin standing there with her crazy church too. I tihnk that might slow them down more then anything. Again, the fundies think that is all fine and good.. but the Indies won't - and McCain knows that.

15. Here's the big problem for Sean.
A CBS poll taken from March 15 to March 17 found that sixty-five percent of registered voters said it made no difference in their view of Obama, while thirty percent said it made them have a less favorable view.

Suprise! That's about the same amount who care about Ayers: I'm sure they're Republicans.
