McCain's "Joe the plumber" reminds me of Phil Gramm's "Dickie Flatt".
I always thought that "Dickie Flatt" was Wendy Gramm's pet name for Phil's penis.

3. Yes, and Al Franken had a bit about him in "Rush Limbaugh Is a Big Fat Idiot"
Basically, Phil Gramm would give his reasoning for being for or against things as passing/not passing the Dickie Flatt test, and Al took some of Gramm's votes to him and asked him what he thought, and he tended to disagree completely with Gramm over the issues.
