So tell me, how can McCain bring up Ayers?
Simply put, he can't.

Why?

Because the debate is geared toward domestic policy and the economy. If he brings it up, it'll look out of place and will hurt him more than if he didn't mention it at all.

My bet, McCain does not bring up Ayers.

1. He'll slip it into one of his answers,
just so he doesn't look like more of a fool in front of his base.

3. I think he should get an Ayers puppet.
Like Mr. Hand on South Park. He could dialogue all of the imaginary conversations the freeps like to think go on between him and Obama. That's about the level of discourse they are reduced to these days.

He'll pretend it's talk like a pirate day and say "ayers she blows" then follow up with "speaking of ayers..."

7. Yes
He'll ask the question. The thing is Obama has been asked and he has answered this question many time. Personally, I hope it does come up. Obama has had plenty of time to come up with a great response and it will take the issue off the table. McCain will look weak with the attack.

8. Doubtful.
It's a debate about the economy. He's likely going to stick to the issues of the economy.

22. "Do you think our economic growth is threatened by 1960's radicals and passionate preachers?"

Every attorney knows there is no such thing as a question that is out of scope.

9. What I'd really love is,
before answering the first question, Obama says: "First, I believe Senator McCain has promised to ask me something. Senator?" That would put McCain on the spot and reveal him as the two-faced bastard he is.

11. Easy, "I'm not going to answer the question the way you or Senator Obama might like......
Instead I'm going to speak directly to the American people and say that Senator Obama hangs out with terrorist Bill Ayers and lies about it."

Simple.

14. John McCain aids and abets domestic terrorism.
http://www.jedreport.com/2008/04/john-mcca...

"More details on the anti-terrorism legislation opposed by McCain:

At issue is a 1994 law protecting abortion clinics from anti-choice terrorism. In May, 1994 the Senate passed the legislation by a 69-30 margin, and John McCain was among the cabal of anti-choice Senators who voted against the bill.

McCain's opposition to the legislation is rather remarkable. Its provisions were narrowly tailored to protect clinics from the wave of anti-choice terrorism that was sweeping the nation at the time. (Read the full legislation here.)

Here's how the New York Times described the new law when it first passed the Senate in November, 1993 (it passed by the same margin as the final bill, and McCain opposed it both times):"

Another one:

http://www.blueoregon.com/2008/04/when-wil...

"It seems that in 1993, John McCain was the keynote speaker at a fundraising banquet for the Oregon Citizens Alliance, the notorious anti-gay organization that was causing all sorts of trouble in Oregon in the 1990s.

McCain quickly got a first-hand flavor for the OCA. Marylin Shannon, the vice chairwoman of the Oregon GOP, had a spot on the program to give an opening prayer. In short order, she praised the Grants Pass woman accused of shooting an abortion doctor in Wichita and thanked the Lord ``for Lon Mabon and the vision you put in his heart.''

Let's check that again. Marilyn Shannon praises a terrorist who shot a doctor while introducing John McCain, and not only does he stay, he stands up and gives a fundraising address for these terrorist-lovers?"

16. McCain, himself has pretty much sucked the air out the Ayers issue
Edited on Wed Oct-15-08 01:10 AM by MrScorpio
And he knows that it's flying NOWHERE!

And He's painted himself into a corner. His brain dead supporters want him to bring it up. To take it to Obama, per se.

However, the Ayers issue has no real meat and Obama will hand McCain his desiccated old ass back to him.

If McCain looks as if he doesn't want to go there, his own supporters will go ape and call him a complete wuss.

Either way, no matter if either McCain or Schieffer brings it up, McCain is fucked.
