Conservatives win ability to form government in Canada....
Sigh, not a good night for the Liberals, but great for the NDP and Greens, and hopefully Harper stays below the threshold for a majority government. Looks like a second Conservative Minority Government, at least that's the good news.

I need an Obama win on November 4th to buoy my spirits....

1. Once Obama's elected, hopefully NDP will take a majority
because Conservatives feed off Chimp, and he'll be gone in a few months.

Then the hamstrung Harper will call for another election within the next 6-9 months.

8. Yes, we do tend to follow the US, on a delay...
let's say this Harper parliament lasts 2 years, maybe it will be time to kick them to the curb.

We need an Obama.

6. We had one...
There was the Alliance (The Republicans) and The Progressive Conservatives (Democrats) and they merged in 2002 and created The Conservative Party

7. These elections get (sort of) won by the Conservatives,
but all they prove is that Canada is a left-leaning country, since they're up against four or more other parties, and just about all of them varying degrees of left. About thirty to thirty-five percent vote Conservative; the other 65% feel ripped off.

9. That's what gets me!
over 50% of the population voted left, and get stuck with a Conservative Minority....sigh. We need proportional representation
