I'd like to see ACORN sue CNN for slander!
For DAYS now we've been constantly bombarded with stories about how this "radical leftist" group with "close ties to the Obama campaign" is engaged in some grand conspiracy to commit "election fraud" across the country. Pretty ominous stuff from the sound of it.

Of course what actually happened was that a few low-level employees acting independently in a few different areas falsified some voter applications, which the organization was legally obligated to file anyway. In most instances, it was ACORN itself that alerted authorities to the suspect applications. Most importantly, none of this activity is likely to result in a single fraudulent vote!

Doesn't it seem like CNN might be stretching the truth here a bit too far? Aren't there laws against that sort of thing?

1. McSame has his own assoications with ACORN!!!

While the McCain campaign has raised significant
controversy about the message of ACORN, he attended
a meeting co-sponsored by ACORN in March 2006 in Florida. (Photo: ACORN)

2. I'd like to see CNN sue itself...
for hiring Drew Griffin and actually using his "reports" as factual news. They would both lose and win at the same time!

3. What's the story on that guy?
He's supposed to be a reporter, not a commentator, but he doesn't even try to hide his contempt for Obama.

4. He's a typical conservative "journalist"...
like, say, Carl Cameron of Fox. I don't have as much of a problem with Griffin as I do with CNN for using his droppings as news.

5. Many ACORN-filed registrations are fraudulent
Out of 2,100 voter registrations checked in Lake County, Indiana, for example, 2,100 (all) were fraudulent, according to CNN itself quoting Indiana state officials:

7. ACORN by law has to turn in...
every fraudulent voter registration. By law. Fraudulent registrations do not turn into votes. Jimmy Johns Subway Shop is not going to be on the voter rolls. That is why we have a government.

8. How's your granite cookie?
Does its flavor and texture suit you? Oh wait...you can't answer that.

9. I'd put the odds at 50-50
Assuming the facts are true about them all being fraudulent (and I have no reason to doubt CNN), the odds are 50-50 that it was either a legitimate ACORN employee or employees trying to pull off a scam and get an easy paycheck by pretending they were really working, or a Republican operative doing it on purpose to try to manufacture a scandal.

Either way, there's no voter fraud unless the deceased guy or the sandwich shop shows up to vote with ID on Nov. 4. The worst thing that happens is it gums up the system a little and forces the election board employees to deal with a pain in the ass, which is certainly an interesting story for the local shopper magazine, but not for CNN.

12. ACORN itself turned-in and IDENTIFIED all the suspect forms. Not "all" were fraudulent.
Do a just a LITTLE research on the topic and you'll discover the TRUTH.

Hint: It's not what they WHORE MEDIA is trying to peddle...

11. I would imagine
that ACORN might have some record of which employee(s) turned in a particular set of registrations. However CNN's intrepid 'investigative' reporter seemed much more concerned with trying to link Obama to voter fraud than really getting to the bottom of the story.

14. I guess it's good that..
they've done this early enough so ACORN can straighten it out. The problem is that the media won't report it when they do.

10. In most instances, it was ACORN itself that alerted authorities to the suspect applications. WRONG!
In ALL instances - 100% of the instances - it was ACORN itself that alerted authorities.

They even had all the "suspect" applications/forms all bundled together and each one was FLAGGED with a post-it note!

Start repeating the WHOLE Truth, please...

13. I stand corrected!
That just underscores my point - that it is completely inappropriate and misleading for CNN to accuse ACORN of "election fraud".
