Am I missing something? Or am I thinking to much?
Seems that the latest wing nut talking point is it's the democratic party at fault for the current economic mess. Yet, wasn't it the republicon party that controlled both houses? And for 7 years controlled all 3 branch's of government? So how are wing nuts getting it's the democratic parties fault? I mean think about it, the current crisis started in 1999, republicons controlled both houses so how did the democratic party manage to get Mac and Fannie deregulated?

And as far as loans made to poor folks, just how did government force banks and other loan markets into giving loans without republicon approval? I mean really, if democrats had this kind of power in the minority, then how come Bush didn't veto it? Are republicons that incompetent at running government that they couldn't stop the democrat minority from rushing legislation through both houses and past the president?

If republicons are so incompetent that they let democrats deregulate, forced lending to folks who couldn't afford loans and all the other things that brought down Wall street and the banking sector then why would anyone want republicons in office? Stupid is as stupid does it seems.

1. It goes back further than that. This is the inevitable failure of Reaganomics.
And the past seven years of Rape-Publican crime was its grand goal.

2. But, for the right wingers, it goes back even further: think FDR
for some of the older ones, and the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 for those 40 and under.

Either way, they will ALWAYS find a way to blame Democrats. I was just surprised they went beyond the Clinton Years. LOL.

3. What you're missing is
that the die-hard wingnuts desperately want to believe that they are right and liberals are wrong. All they need is a plausible story. That's the job of the cable chatter channels, Rush, etc. Once, the wingnuts get their talking points, they can run with them -- even if they're silly on the face of them.

4. Actually, I don't think they even need a plausible story
most of the conspiracy theories they have concerning Ayers, ACORN and now this are so far-fetched - one has to really not be paying attention or incredibly biased big time to believe these stories.

6. You're right -- maybe I should have left out "plausible"
They will apparently fall for anything. My wingnut sister informed me the other day that she would "hold her nose and vote for McCain," because one time during the primary Obama said he had visited all 57 states. How in the world could we elect someone who didn't know how many states there are.

5. Ah, but you see, it's Obama's fault because . . .
The world's economies are collapsing because investors are afraid that Obama's successful candidacy will bring higher American taxes.

That's what Matt Lauer said this morning that some Rethugs are saying.
