80. does 2004 count as history?
I was glued to DU all election day and I remember it vividly. The exit polls were firmly in our favor. We were CERTAIN that Kerry was going to win. That afternoon, we were merrily talking about whether we should be gracious to our Republican friends and acquaintances or whether we should rub their noses in it. That evening, we were still feeling good about the exit polls and it became just a question of waiting for the Ohio results.....

Elections have been stolen before. I have no worries about what the outcome of a FAIR election would be, and stealing it would be much much more difficult this time. But I won't completely relax until Obama is declared the winner.

16. Just chill. Brother Obama has got this shit. Here's my football analogy:
I don't know how to tell you this, but there's 3 weeks left, and McCain has to make up 6 points in national polls. All those cute Ayers ads won't cut it. The next debate is on domestic policy, where Obama is likely to kick McCain's ass.

I don't know if you're a sports fan, but here is my football analogy:

There are 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter. McCain is down by 2 touchdowns. It's not yet time to throw that Hail Mary pass, but the game is quickly slipping unless a lot of things go your way.

If Barack's numbers in the polls hit 55 to 57, then start worrying. If you think his peak upside potential has been reached at 50 to 51, first, you are mistaken, and second, you never had much confidence.

34. Obama just has to stay on his game,
and I don't see him changing anything now. He has looked and acted Presidential, especially in the debates. My mother, who is 90 and doesn't know diddly about computers and only watches TV is VERY impressed with him. She says, "McCain goes on and on and doesn't say anything, but Obama tells us what we will do to get out of the mess we are in." She becomes more and more impressed following each debate. She's a registered Republican, btw. She tells me that everyone at the assisted living center, save one, is for Obama, and that one fellow is "deluded". Mom lives in Illinois, and I call her every weekend and politics has become a favorite topic. All my family is voting Obama, btw.

I live in the reddest part of Arkansas, and yet I've been seeing a lot of Obama signs, and the folks at the local Democratic headquarters are very upbeat. I work at a clinic, and the patients who have been talking politics are talking about how wise Obama is and how crazy McCain is. The few patients who are known to be rabid Republicans have become very subdued; some have said they are disgusted with politics and wish they could write in Ron Paul. To my mind, this means they realize that Obama is going to win.

45. Let me tell you, this is when you want to start peaking.
October is the perfect month to start peaking.

If you wait too close to the election, you run the risk of the peak not reaching its potential. If you start too early, you're right, there will be a downtrend. However, McCain was the candidate who peaked too early, not Barack.

Obama's peak will level out and with only three weeks until the election, it's perfect timing.

55. Well, let's look at the facts.
Obama has demonstrated an ability to run a competent and effective political campaign.

You have demonstrated an inability to comprehend a political campaign.

Advantage Obama.

Obama responds effectively to the America hating campaign of republicans.

You have indicated a belief in the America hating campaign of republicans.

Advantage Obama.

Obama has mobilized early voting efforts in most important states.

You are unaware that early votes count the same as election day votes.

Advantage Obama.

Obama knows that there are more voters who are not racists than there are who are racists.

You seem to think that there are more voters who are racists than there are who are not racists.

Advantage Obama.

Obama knows that there are more voters who love America than there are who hate America.

You seem to think that there are more voters who hate America than there are who love America.

Advantage Obama.

Obama has purchased a little time on the networks closer to the date of the election.

You seem to be unaware of that fact or you believe that the networks have no viewers.

Advantage Obama.

President Obama is going to make your life better. Accept it.

78. Aww, your concern is duly noted. Barack Obama will never peak. He's on a collision course with the
Sun.

82. Hope not
I pray that he has not peaked yet. I feel that he has leveled off. We need to be doing a lot more to help him out. I plan to start making calls for the first time today.

I will do my part. Do yours. So that Obama can do his.

We need a record turnout to match the record registration.

As Obama says, this is about us not him.

That McSame is going down in flames faster than the five planes he crashed.

As Rush Limbaugh would say, "I can't hear you due to the massive amounts of 'hillbilly heroin' I ingested."
