I get the feeling the power brokers are ready to let the Dems run things

I don't believe the Corporate Media is generally on our side but since the economic meltdown they seem to be shooting down McCain's tasteless, hate crap and seem more fair than usual. I get the feeling the big shots who own the Media have come to realize that perhaps Republicans are not so great for their pocketbooks and so they have decided to allow the Media (which they own and influence) to do its job honestly for a change.

2. MSNBC as really seen the light. I'm thinking Bush traded out GE as one of their defense contractors.

3. CNN is the pits -- I am still mad about that "Special"
that ran today about how the SS guards the Presidents.
Showed how much distance they keep to keep the President safe. How the station themselves around the POTUS.

Everybody watching in our family just had mouths that dropped.
We could not believe they would select that topic after thus week from hell.

4. GE is down 19 percent last I heard...
...maybe they've decided that the Republicans
used them too, and it's time to stop acting
like PR representatives for Bush, McCain and
the rest of the neocon criminals.

5. Republicans help them do even better (lower taxes, lax regulation) but only in short bursts
They know that only dems have the capability to stabilize and grow the economy for the long term.

6. I thought so too but with caveat
Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 01:51 AM by AzNick
I guess they think that McCain is less likely than Obama to restart the economy, and Palin would be absolutely unfit, yet another presidential puppet and we know where that took us.

As rich as they all are, if the economy is in the crapper, and the inflation goes rampant, their dollars will be worth mere pennies if we let the republicans run things, or at least THESE republicans.

Edit - forgot my caveat: they will not be cheerleaders for Obama. Expect them to crap all over him as soon as he does something wrong (which he will, as any president does at one point).

7. I kind of thought that....but CNN has me thinking that they didn't get the memo.....
and we know that Fox can't read, so the memo went to the shredder.

8. Hibernation mode. Shoring up power in monopolized banks,
to go along with their monopolized media. Going off to count the filthy lucre for a while, while Obama et al clean up the mess.
