McCain's options have run out
Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 12:13 AM by Quixote1818
Republicans are arguing about how to proceed as they have Colonial McSame Custard charging into the battle of Economic Big Horn. Some say attack Obama's character and others say talk about solutions for the economy.

The economy has virtually made this impossible for McCain especially since Obama has shown in the debates he has what it takes. Obama crossed the threshold with his performance in the debates and his poll numbers shot up because people wanted change but they needed to see if Obama had what it takes to lead the country. At that point the election was virtually over. Americans want to change directions and nothing is going to stop them now that Obama has shown to be smart and ready to be President.

Here is McSame's problem

1. If he attacks Obama's character he looks desperate because he is behind and people are worried about the economy. If he attacks Obama period he looks desperate and out of touch with the economic crisis.
2. If he talks about the economy he will lose because American's blame Republicans overwhelmingly for the economic crisis.
3. If he talks about Iraq he loses because Americans want out of Iraq and they are more concerned about the economy.
4. If he talks about energy he loses because Americans blame Republicans for our energy problems

Checkmate unless someone cheats.

McCain's campaign is like a turtle on its back desperately trying to get a foothold and turn over but there is a cliff on each side of the turtle. All they can do is try to steal this election or hope Obama tortures a puppy on live TV. Even if he did that he might still win considering Palin tortures animals on a regular basis. Does that mean we stop working for Obama? NO! We still work like we are 20 points down.

1. I would bet that if there is a way to cheat, they will do it. We must stay vigilant.
