GOTV: How many hours are you willing/able to wait in line to cast your vote?
I'm predicting record turnout and widespread 'unpredictable glitches.'

I'm planning to close my business for the day,(something I just don't do) and will be prepared to wait as long as it takes. However, I know most people don't have this option.

I'm asking this question well in advance....because it's THAT IMPORTANT!

1. Election Day must be made a national holiday

With exceptions only for police departments, fire departments and health care workers.

3. I once waited 4 hours in line to get
Cirque de Soliel(?) tickets. Barak Obama becoming president is way more reason to wait in line.

4. Minnesota will be smooth as silk. I've never seen a problem at the polls. There's always plenty of
equipment. Optical scanners are easy to use and only take a moment to accept your paper ballot.

7. I hate waiting in line
I would do it to vote for Obama but I don't have to because I already voted for him by absentee ballot.

13. I really, really hope Texans take advantage of our early voting
Especially since there is a weekend in the middle of the Oct 20-Oct 31 early voting schedule. It will, hopefully, put an end to the "we didn't know the turnout would be so huge so there are not enough machines on Nov 4th" bullshit.
I'm gonna sign up to be a poll watcher during early voting that weekend and also on Election Day.
Can't wait to see what kind of turnout there will be!!

15. Nobody will wait in line in my state. It's a non-issue.
Well, maybe they'll have to wait for a few people in cars ahead of them to drop off their completed ballots at curbside ballot collectors.

The entire state of Oregon votes by mail, and if you don't get your ballot in the mail in time, you may drop it off at one of several designated sites, including the above mentioned curbside sites.

16. There is a push to vote early here in Wisconsin.
This is one election I insist on voting in person on Election Day. I left my polling place after voting for Obama in the primary feeling euphoric. I am so looking forward to vote for him in the GE and will wait as long as it takes.

The majority of my district is republican so I usually keep to myself. This time, though, my husband and I plan to make it a date.

Obama/Biden 08

17. I'll be voting early so I can drive others to the polls.
I expect to be running late into the night, and already have plans to take off the next day. I'll be driving as long as necessary.
