Are protestors showing up at McCain rallies? If not, it's time we call him on the racist crap.

I try to focus on the positive. Last night, I attended a fundraiser where Tom Vilsack spoke. Tuesday night, I'm going to another fundraiser where John Conyers is speaking. I canvass. I make calls. I donate money.

But the tone of the McCain/Palin campaign makes me want to protest their rallies in NH and Maine. Their message is so odious and divisive that they need to be called on it at every one of their campaign stops, and their supporters need to know it won't be tolerated. Has anyone here protested or infiltrated a rally? Part of me would be afraid of being physically harmed by these psychos. But they need to know that their repulsive behavior will not be tolerated.

1. I don't think that would help. The nastiness of his rallies have repulsed people.
It is better for Dems and Obama supporters to be nowhere near it and let the ugliness speak for itself.

2. I think you're right. I've just never felt so angry/horrified/repulsed in my life.

3. Agree it's best not to protest
It's best to let the hatred speak for itself

Some Code Pink people yelled at McCain at a rally and I'm sure the McCain camp will equate the Code Pink ladies with their own racist supporters. Code Pink just made things worse for Obama IMO

4. As horrible as they are I would be afraid someone would whip out a gun
or the mob may attack you. It would make it an even uglier contest than it already is and the focus would be on the event, not on the issues, particularly the economy. Obama is up right now and I feel anything like that would be a negative for the campaign. Let the RW expose themselves for who they really are. The economy is going to trump their racial slurs and fear.
