Campaign Vandals Struck Just Now

Hey all,

I caught three punk kids vandalizing Obama and Jay Nixon signs in my neighborhood just now. Nixon is the Dem candidate for Gov. here in MO. They wiped our street clear of signs or ran them into the ground with their bikes.

I jumped in the truck and chased them down a few blocks away. I scared the bejesus out of them. While I was there dressing them down, a woman rolled up and said she was glad I caught them. She had set out in her Prius to chase them down as well.

I should have taken a bike and told them to send their parents to my house to get it.

Back in 1992 I had a right-wing yahoo try and run me over while I was out placing signs. In 2000 I got death threats from a right wing gun nut online and had him picked up by the police.

Here we are again...

Man am I pissed off.

3. The guy in 2000 got a visit from the PO-LICE!

He was the second worst. the guy in 1992 was pretty surely trying to commit murder or vehicular homicide.

I had been dropping Clinton signs along the path back to my apartment from UT campus in Knoxville. I was on a long stretch of road in South Knoxville on foot. Back in those days it was undeveloped.

He came roaring up in some jacked up off-rad truck and ran down a couple of small trees and three of my signs while I scrambled up the slope and out of his path. I wish I had gotten his tags.

Even if you don't manage to scare the crap out of 'em, I'm sure you can manage to have fun with it.
