It's their way to "explain" the theft.

Harold Ford Jr vs Bob Corker in 2006 Tennessee senate race:

Last rasmussen poll before the election:

Corker 53%
Ford 45%

Final vote count:

Corker 51% (-2)
Ford 48% (+3)

There no longer IS a Bradley Effect in this country.

Why?

A. Polls are more anonymous now.... many are tape-recorded voices. Racists have no incentive to lie about their vote any more.

B. Pollsters are much more sophisticated now, and are able to clean up their results by weighting the demographics in their internals to reflect reality.

Harold Ford Jr's race in the VERY red state of Tennessee shows that, if anything, there is a REVERSE Bradley Effect in this country.

Rachel Maddow made a mistake by covering the Bradley Effect the way she did last night. She should have spent the time DEBUNKING it like it deserves to be debunked.

It doesn't exist.

People forget that Bradley v. Dukmejian was 22 years ago. A lot has changed. I thought about that the other day when a media outlet was gossiping about Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Reggie Bush; the media doesn't even raise an eyebrow about interracial couples now. That wasn't true in '86.

At this point, if you're white, and race is an overriding factor in your decision making, you're already voting for McSame.
